We choose our project theme as "WATER The Drop of Life" because we want to take attention about lack of water in the world.

Like energy, water is an essential component of almost all human ocupations. Water supply is vital to feeding a growing world population, to produce assets that determine lifting living standards and integrity for maintaining the natural systems on which the life on earth depends.

Considered for a long time as something of course, water can become, in many parts of the world, a factor limiting economic growth and food production in the following decades

In all of Europe, 44% of the captured water is used for energy production, 24% agriculture, 21% for water supply of population and 11% in industry. However, behind these figures hide significant differences in terms of water consumption in various sectors on the continent. In southern Europe, for example, agriculture represents 60% of total water abstraction, the percentage reaching even 80% in some areas.

Desalination has become an alternative increasingly often used in conventional water sources, particularly in areas of Europe with emphasis stress fluid.

However, when assessing the overall impact of desalination on the environment must take into account the high energy requirements of this method and the result of salt water.

Water deficit affects northern and southern Europe

European Environment Agency, advisory body of the European Union, shows that not only the Member States in Southern Europe, Spain and Italy, are facing water shortages, but also those in northern Europe.

Climate Change, specify the report will increase the frequency and severity of droughts in the future increasing shortage of water especially during summer.
